Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data is collected on lerendezvousvalthorens.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights.

Data controller

Société d’Exploitation du Rendez-Vous

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, together with the technical data the website needs in order to work:

Contact form: your name, email address, telephone number if you provide one, and the subject and content of your message.

Online booking: table reservations are handled by our provider Overfull, through a module embedded in this website. The details you enter there (name, contact details, date, time, number of guests) are processed by Overfull on our behalf. Please see their own privacy policy for the details of that processing.

Audience measurement: if you consent through the cookie banner, anonymised visit statistics are collected, covering pages viewed, time spent, referring source and device type.

Technical data: our host records connection logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security and diagnostic purposes.

No sensitive data is collected, and the website never asks for payment details: payment is taken at the restaurant only.

Purposes and legal bases

Answering your enquiries and following them through: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Managing table reservations: performance of the service you have requested.

Measuring audience and improving the website: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Keeping the website secure and meeting our accounting and legal obligations: legitimate interest and legal obligation.

Your data is never sold, rented or passed to third parties for advertising purposes.

Who receives your data

Your data is handled by the restaurant team and by the following technical providers, who act on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality:

Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland), website hosting and email.
Overfull, the table booking module.
Google Ireland Ltd., audience measurement, only if you have accepted it.
Lumee, technical maintenance, with access strictly limited to what the work requires.

Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Union. Such transfers are governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or by an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

• Messages received through the contact form: 12 months after our last exchange.
• Booking data: as long as the service requires, then for the periods our accounting obligations impose.
• Visit statistics: 25 months at most.
• Audience measurement cookies: 13 months, in line with CNIL guidance.
• Connection logs: 12 months.

Your rights

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port the data we hold about you, and to set instructions for what becomes of it after your death.

To exercise those rights, write to contact@lerendezvousvalthorens.com or to the postal address above. We will reply within one month. If our reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Cookies

The website sets cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function and, subject to your consent, cookies for audience measurement and cookies linked to the booking module.

A full list of the cookies used, their purpose and their lifespan is set out in the cookie policy. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Manage consent” link at the foot of every page.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, administrative access is limited to authorised people and protected by strong passwords, and backups are handled by our host.
